CEVA expands logistics facilities in New Zealand with Auckland facility
GLOBAL supply chain management CEVA Logistics has opened its new multi user warehouse facility in Auckland, as part of a commitment to strengthen its international Airfreight, Oceanfreight and Contract Logistics operations in New Zealand which include Christchurch and Wellington.
The 16,500 square metre facility, located within the Auckland Airport Business District, the largest transport hub in New Zealand, allows for close proximity to business activity and air service connectivity throughout the country as well as overseas. The district provides easy access to the Auckland region and is within 35 kilometres of both the Auckland CBD and Port of Auckland.
It extends its service reach across both the North and South Islands of New Zealand and into Australia and the Asia Pacific region, said New Zealand country manager Grant Lowe. "We have experienced strong growth over the past 12 months and the new facility marks both an important step forward in addressing new market opportunities and reinforcing New Zealand's strategic importance to CEVA in the region."
It boasts over 4,000 pallet positions, TAPA level security and a state-of-the-art warehouse management system. With a layout configured for maximum efficiency, this multi user facility is designed to deliver a range of tangible benefits to customers' supply chains through economies of scale, shared overhead, resources, equipment and best practice processes.
