Maersk raises rates from US$150/TEU up on various Asia services Sept 1
DANISH giant Maersk is to implement general rate increases across all its Asia services in order to offer a broad range of services and maintain high reliability, said the carrier.
Effective September 1, the world's largest carrier will increase the rates for shipments from Far East to the India subcontinent, including ports in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, by US$250 per TEU and $500 per FEU.
For shipments from east Africa to Far East and the Middle East, rates will increase $200 per TEU and $400 per FEU.
And for shipments from North Europe to west and central Asia, the planned rates will be up by $150 per TEU, and $200 per FEU and 45-foot high cube box.
Asia to New Zealand routes will see an increase of $300 per TEU and $600 per FEU
