OAG Cargo's AFRA service now includes Saudi Airlines Cargo US rates
OAG Cargo, providers of IT information products for the aviation industry, has announced that Saudi Airlines Cargo has decided to make its US origin rates - General, BellyFlex, MainDeck, Dangerous Goods, Perishable and Courie - available on AFRA (Air Freight Rate Application).
"This represents a major vote of confidence in OAG Cargo and its AFRA system - an application that enables air freight rates to be communicated between airlines and forwarders as well as sales quotations between forwarders and shippers," said a company statement.
The decision by a major airline to join the community highlights the fact that publishing rates in AFRA can help all carriers maximise their yield on freighter operations, the statement said.
Said Saudi Airlines Cargo's American sales director Michael Basoco: "OAG Cargo continues to be the choice of a growing list of sophisticated air freight professionals. Making it easier to do business with us is the hallmark of a trusted carrier partner."
Said OAG Cargo's America's sales director Stephen Baggett: "Saudi Airlines Cargo is one of the major players in the world's air cargo market, so this is great news not just for us but for the entire AFRA community."
