Logwin opens Fuzhou office as expansion in southern China continues
LOGWIN, a global provider of air and ocean freight and logistics services, has announced the opening of a new sales office in Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian Province, to bolster its market presence across southern China.
The company said it's particular focus will be on providing a comprehensive range of logistics services to the electronics, automotive, textiles and light goods manufacturing sector based in the city, which is home to many leading brand name companies and is at the centre of growing cross-straits trade with Taiwan.
A city of 7.1 million people, Fuzhou's gross domestic product amounted to US$58.6 billion in 2011, with industrial output accounting for 46.5 per cent of the city's total GDP.
"We can see a lot of potential in Fuzhou as the city expands its industrial base and there is growing demand for domestic and international logistics services. We are able to leverage opportunities for our customers through our worldwide network of offices. We have a world class IT platform and extensive multimodal transport expertise and can deliver the best solutions both locally in China and on a global basis," said south China and Hong Kong director Jimmy Chow.
The new office is part of the company's longer term plan to expand its sales capability and office network across a region that includes Hong Kong, Macau, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hainan and Yunnan provinces.
