CMA CGM announces fresh round of rate increases starting in September
THE world's third largest container shipping group, CMA CGM has announced several rate increases across its global trade lanes as part of a new revenue restoration programme.
Starting September 1, the company will levy a US$300 per TEU increase from Asia to New Zealand for dry and reefer containers on the ANZEX and ANZEX 2 services.
The company has announced a US$200 per TEU increase on the EPIC westbound service from the Persian Gulf to North Europe, the east and west Mediterranean, the Adriatic and the Red Sea.
The company said a further EUR300 (US$371) per TEU increase will be introduced September 15 from North Europe to Latin America and the Caribbean.
