Hacis to provide cargo export services to DB Schenker at Hong Kong airport
HONG KONG Air Cargo Industry Services Limited (Hacis), the road feeder and logistics services arm of air cargo handler Hactl, has signed an agreement with DB Schenker extending the scope of their relationship.
Hacis will provide the Hong Kong division of DB Schenker with "Airport Direct Export Services" for its export air freight traffic from China and Hong Kong. As a result, the Airport Direct Export Handling Centre at the airport will as a result handle one third of Schenker's air cargo.
Said Schenker's Hong Kong managing director Soren Poulsen: "Hacis' strategic location within the airport's cargo area, its proximity to the airline cargo handling facilities and the comprehensive range of services it provides under one roof, will introduce enhanced speed and efficiency to our export operations and benefit of our customers."
Hacis managing director Kenneth Bell said the company's Airport Direct Export Handling Centre "offers the best facilities for cargo handling processes in one location, ensuring that shipments are handled safely at the very high service standards required".
In addition to offering cargo handling, warehousing and value-added logistics services at HKIA [Hong Kong International Airport], Hacis also provides local collection and deliveries throughout Hong Kong and the New Territories, plus express road feeder services to and from six IATA-designated inland cargo depots throughout the Pearl River Delta and the neighbouring Fujian province.
