CaroTrans starts offering Seattle to Japan LCL export service
CAROTRANS, a global NVOCC (non vessel operating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator, has expanded its US-Japan import and export LCL and FCL service portfolio through the launch of a new, direct less-than-container load (LCL) export service from Seattle to Tokyo.
This weekly service offers an overall 13-day transit from Seattle to Tokyo, 14-day transit to Yokohama, and 18-day transit to Osaka, Nagoya and Kobe via the Pacific Northwest.
Other features include fixed-day cut-offs and no transshipment via Busan, South Korea.
The new service offering has been realised through the establishment over the past 13 years of a strong service network in the US-Japan trade region in partnership with Seino Logix, an NVO based in Japan.
"With Seino Logix as our partner in Japan and in the US, where four of their representatives are based, we will continue building out our US-Japan service portfolio," said CaroTrans CEO Greg Howard.
In the last six months, CaroTrans has added five direct LCL and FCL import and export services to its global service network. The new services include: Houston and New York export to Cartagena, Colombia; Miami to Itajai, Brazil export; Charleston to South Africa export and Los Angeles to Vietnam import/export.
