Schoeller Holdings takes delivery of 2,758-TEUer with 499 reefer plugs
PRIVATELY-owned investment company, Schoeller Holdings, is engaged in an array of marine-related activities such as ship owning, ship management and liner services, has taken delivery of the 2,758-TEU Cape Marin, the tenth unit of Wenchong 2800 design built in China by the Wenchong Shipyard.
This new series is equipped with 499 reefer plugs and has a commercial speed of 22.3 knots. Apart from Schoeller Holdings, several owners have ordered Wenchong 2800s, including German owners Reederei Gebrueder Winter, Thien & Heyenga, Reederei Bernd Drewitz and Schoning as well as Turkish owner Yardimci (financed through 'Ownership' Emissionshaus).
The Cape Marine, currently without employment, follows the Calidris in the Wenchong 2800 series, delivered in February to Reederei Gebrueder Winter, Alphaliner reported.
