Shenzhen airport looks back as it grew to 30 freight operating services
OVER 20 years' development, Shenzhen airport has built up cooperative ties with dozens of freight forwarders from home and abroad and is now operating 30 all-cargo services, Xinhua reports.
Among these services, 17 are domestic lines to 14 destinations like Beijing, Shanghai, Zhengzhou and Wuhan, 13 are international lines to 12 destinations including Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok and Dubai.
An official from the airport said, during the period from 2006 to 2010, Shenzhen spent CNY2 billion (US$314.3 million) upgrading its cargo facilities, including expansion of international cargo terminal, express parcels handling centre, domestic cargo terminal, aircraft parking apron and logistics park, as well as building of the UPS Asian hub, bonded logistics park, a 260,000-square-metre terminal area and 24 new parking slots.
