Customs at Tianjin and distant Xian sign dry-port cooperation agreement

CUSTOMS of coastal city Tianjin and hinterland city Xian has signed an agreement of cooperation on expanding "dry port" network, which is a sea port's cargo collection facility in the hinterland region, Xinhua reports.

According to the agreement, Tianjin will also offer customised service for major exporters, importers and freight forwarders Xian.

During the recent year, Tianjin port is speeding up the development of its logistics network covering its hinterland. So far, the port has built up 21 "dry ports" in the hinterland regions.
