Dimerco claims to be first firm to achieve UKAS ISO28000 cert in Taiwan

DIMERCO Express (Taiwan) Corporation, a non-asset based global transportation and logistics service provider, has become the first company in Taiwan to gain ISO28000 accreditation, which was issued by UKAS and approved by LRQA.

To be awarded ISO28000 the company was examined in the areas of airfreight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing and distribution, and control of risk management system.

"Apart from setting implementation directions to meet global standards and customer satisfaction, to integrate resources as well as to maximize service values of supply chain management, Dimerco also aims to upgrade the scope of supply chain security - from simply secured transportation to the supply chain management system security and in compliance with the ISO 28000 security standards," a company statement said.

This certification follows the awarding of the AEO certification in the fourth quarter of 2011. Both certifications are said to demonstrate the company's attempts to meet international standards with service quality and risk management to satisfy its customers, and to cope with global economic trends and developments.
