Cargotec buys Australia's Asicano freight handling automation technology
CARGOTEC has acquired Australia's Asicano's automation technology assets and the transfer of its 23 employees to be part of Cargotec Australia.
The purchase of automation from the country's largest rail and port operator will support Cargotec's global turnkey solutions for horizontal transportation and yard stacking in automation projects, said Cargotec vice president Olli Isotalo.
Details of the transaction price were not disclosed by Cargotec, a long-standing partner of Asicano's Patrick Container Terminals and provider of its port handling equipment.
