Hong Kong Government provides grants, licences to green transport vehicles
HONG KONG's Pilot Green Transport Fund Steering Committee has granted HK$12 million (US$1.5 million) in funding for the third batch of applications in the trial of green and innovative transport technologies.
The Environmental Protection Department said in an official statement that the six approved applications include the trial of two electric light delivery vans, one electric bus for non-franchised bus services and eight hybrid light buses for minibus services.
The applications were from Glory Success, Hong Kong Metropolitan, Kwoon Chung, Sun, Teamwise, and Yan Yan. The fund has so far approved 30 applications, amounting to a total subsidy of HK$73 million. The projects comprise 29 electric and 32 hybrid vehicles.
