Invitation for The 6th China Western Region International
The 6th China Western Region International Economic Cooperation Fair (hereinafter referred to as the Cooperation Fair), which is jointly sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment and Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government, is scheduled to be held together with the 11th Investment & Trade Forum for Cooperation between East & West China (hereinafter referred to as the Investment & Trade Forum) from April 6 to April 10 of 2007 at Xi’an Qujiang International Conference and Exhibition Center. The Investment & Trade Forum, being sponsored jointly by four national ministries and commissions of China, 26 provincial and municipal governments and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, has been a name brand for nationwide exhibition in China. Each year, the Cooperation Fair and the Investment & Trade Forum are held simultaneously with total exhibition stands of 2,600 and over 100,000 participants from 31 domestic provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities as well as more than 40 foreign countries and regions. It is expected that the number of visitors would exceed 400,000 person/times during the exhibition.
The Cooperation Fair centers on foreign enterprises and investment. It is expected that during the event, there would be over 5,000 delegates of international investment and financial agencies, chambers or associations of commerce and enterprises from all round the world gathering together in Xi’an. The Cooperation Fair, while focusing on promoting international trade and investment, will, with the exhibition and conference as platforms, help participants to seek opportunities for international trade and transnational economic co-operation.
During the Cooperation Fair, an international hall with 265 exhibition stands will be set up in the No. 1 Exhibition Hall of the Main Venue for the Investment & Trade Forum, so as to promote more than 10,000 investment projects. In the meantime, with a view to create more business opportunities, promote the trade exchange and co-operation among domestic and foreign enterprises, 5,000 enterprises and intermediate agencies at home and abroad will be invited to interact in a series of investment promotion activities. On the occasion, the sponsors will publicize the list of participating foreign enterprises, intent for domestic and international investment and trade as well as information about project co-operation on the websites such as www.onlinew.gov.cn (for the Investment & Trade Forum ) and www.ccpit.org (for the Cooperation Fair), etc.
Exhibition Preparation: April 2 to April 5, 2007; exhibition hall will be closed at 12:00AM on April 5, 2007 for check.

Review of the previous Fair:
In 2006, over 3,000 foreign enterprises participated in the 5th China Western Region International Economic Cooperation Fair, including over 100 world famous ones such as UK Union Rising International Investment Group Ltd., Schneider Electric Investment Co, Ltd. (France), Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, International Business Machine Corp. (U.S.A), Siemens (Germany), Veolia Water (France), Maersk Group (Denmark), UPS (U.S.A), Yamato Logistics, Amway (China) Co., Ltd. and Bank of East Asia, etc. During the event, 11 activities on investment promotion were held, which brought about satisfactory effect. Among them, the “Project Recommendation Conference for Domestic and Overseas Enterprises”, which consisted of eight special divisions for the co-operation between China and South Korea, China and Germany, China and Canada as well as China and Australia, attracted more than 800 participants. What is more, during the event, the “2006 China (Xi’an) Transnational Procurement Conference” attracted a number of World Top 500 such as Carrefour, Andari, Omron and Hyundai, etc. The Cooperation Fair was warmly welcomed and highly praised by people of all circles.

The Fair, being comprised of a series of exhibitions and conferences, is intended to push the economic globalization and enhance the economic, trade, cultural and tourism exchanges among countries and, more importantly, to provide a satisfactory platform for various countries and regions in the world to present their own investment environment, featured economy and promote investment, to offer business opportunities for commodities of foreign origin to enter the market in West China and the large enterprises in West China to step up into the international market and to further cement the friendly relations among different countries in the world.
