12th China Yangling Expo on Agricultural High-Tech Products opens

The 12th China Yangling Expo on Agricultural High-Tech Products opened Saturday in Yangling national agricultural high-tech zone of northwest China''s Shaanxi Province.

Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition.

Xu Jialu, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China''s National People''s Congress (NPC), declared the opening of the expo.

The five-day expo, covering a total area of 35,000 square meters, will exhibit the latest agricultural hi-tech achievements and technologies from home and abroad, the organizer said.

The expo aims to provide technological support for agricultural development and guidance for farm produce market and help farmers raise their income, the organizer said.
