Established in 1951, Rushan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is located at beautiful Rushankou in Rushan city, which is at the crossing of Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai. It has more than 700 employees during which there are 70 engineering technicians and 20 persons having above-intermediate titles. Its factory area reaches to 1.26 billion sqm and the initial value of fixed assets is 50 million yuan. Besides a 300-ton horizontally-moving area dock, a 2000-ton dock and over 300 ship building and repairing fitting equipments of various kinds, the shipyard also owns a steel-board automatically preprocessing production line equipped with an underwater number-controlling plasma cutting machine. By adopting inland advanced designing software including hull design, hull lofting, automatic material-covering, etc. and its relevant computer system, it has become a joint-stock enterprise whose 80% stock is controlled by the board chairman.
