Zhejiang DongFang shipbuilding Co.,Ltd. is one of the largest in size and highest in grade of specialized shipyard for shipbuilding and ship-repairing in Wenzhou city. It is located at the north bank of Oujiang river; south facing to Lingkun Island (in Wenzhou District) across the river, north closing to the state scenic zone -Mountains Yandang , neighboring the international port - Wenzhou Qiligang port; about 30km away from Wenzhou airport and Wenzhou railway Station respectively; only 4km away to the No.104 State highway and passed by Liu-Huang highway. The advantageous in geographical positon is convenient for the transportation in sea,land and air.

The shipyard established in October 1986, covers factory area up to 40,000 square meters, multi-purpose housing area 20,000 square meters, floored area 25,000 square meters, coastline 390 meters long,seven building berths above 5,000 tonnage and two building berths above 10,000 tonnage in capacity respectively; one 1000 dwt navigation repairing quay. Total number of employees is above 400. The shipyard posses skilled technical forces, advanced workmanship, high-grade equipment and completed inspection method. The shipyard could contract to build many types of ships according to the latest international rules and regulations of classification. At present, some ships (to be certified by ZC and CCS) are under construction. The yard have already been awarded with ISO9001:2001 certificate of quality management system issued by CCS and granted to do export and import business.

Since the establishing of the shipyard, the yard built many kinds of ships such as container ships, oil tankers, bulk carriers, multi-purpose vessels, chemical tankers, tugs and fishing boats etc. as well as converted and repaired many kinds of vessels.
