JangDong SHIPYARD is located on south bank of the beautiful Changjiang River in Wuhu, one of the first-batch cities opening to the outside world in Anhui Province, China.Jiangdong Shipyard, under the jurisdiction of China Changjiang National Shipping Group, is one of the backbone enterprises in shipbuilding. It was founded in 1945,and it now employs over 1500 people, including 400 specialists.
The yard with an area of 27800M2 has a waterfront more than 500 meters long. There are 8 shipbuilding platforms, one 4000t capstan type slipway and one 10000t longitudinal slipway, which can undertake to build sorts of vessels with deadweight below 20000 tons. At site of the slipway, there are many kinds of cranes which capacity is 15t, 30t 60t, and 100t respectively. It is also equipped with one production line of pre-treatment for steel material, kinds of cutting and welding equipment including digital controlled cutters, totally 864 sets. And computers have been widely used in designing, technology and management.
In order to adapt requirement of international market of shipbuilding,the yard has formed a full set of managing system with efficiency according to international standard. And products of the yard have been approved by ABS, GL, LR, BV and CCS Classification Societies. The Quality System of the yard has been certified to conform to ISO9002 Quality System Standard in August of 1999.Quality System Standard Trans-Version from ISO9002 to ISO9001 on Oct 2002 was smoothly achieved and also passed the judgment.

Up to October of 2003, besides civil owners, our shipyard has delivered successfully more than 210 vessels to ship-owners from Germany, Chile, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong and other countries/regions. With its long history, the shipyard has made lots of progresses in all aspects. Now the yard is one exporting base of national mechanical and electrical products, and a famous enterprise of "Quality First, Credit First " of Anhui Province, and it was also awarded as "Civilized Unit”, “Garden Factory" by Wuhu Government.
