Bohai shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd.(BSHIC),the former Bohai shipyard,is one of the principal enterprises subsidiary to China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation(CSIC).BSHIC locates in the northern coast of Bohai Guif,and locates in the east of Bei Dai He Beach,Shan Hai Guan Great Wall,and Xing Cheng ancient castle.The famous Huludao port locates in the center of the corporation.The yard was established in 1954,covers 3,600,000 square meter.
BSHIC has various kinds of advanced equipment,such as the sever-span type indoor shipbuilding berth,the 50,000 tonnage class dual-stage water-filled dry-dock,the new 294mX50m semi-submerged slipway(150.000 tonnage class),the steel plate pretreatment production line and the hull panel block production line.The certificate of ISO9002 was attained in 1994 and was authenticated of ISO9001-2000 in 2002.Since 2002,BSHIC was conferred Quality Management Excellent Corporation,National Defense Technical Industry Excellent Corporaton and National Corporation Technical Center.Various vessels below 174,000dwt can be built and classed to CCS,DNV,NKK,BV and/or ABS.Shipbuilding capacity reaches 600,000 tons per annual,and the capacity of earning of foreign exchange is near USD Two Hundred Million one year.
