CMA CGM, run by its founder, M. Jacques R. Saadé, is one of the major worldwide container shipping line （ranking number one in France & third largest in the world）.
The group operates a modern fleet of 387 vessels, of which 98 were acquired in 2007. Operated on over 100 major shipping routes with a total carrying capacity of 913,259 teus. 79 new vessels on order for delivery between 2008 and 2011.
In 2007, the group transported 7.68 million teus with 58% increase in profits with a total revenue of US$ 11.8 billion （8.61 billion Euro）, up by 33% from 2006.
With 650 offices （including 64 in China） and 403 ports of call in 150 countries, CMA CGM has a strong worldwide network offering one of the largest scope of origins and destinations to its customers.
The 16,000 CMA CGM staff members around the world, of which nearly 4,500 in France – trained at the in-house French Institute for Research, Studies & Training – （FIRST） show recognized know-how and high motivation.
