Diverse Development
CSG pays high attention to the social effect, and has organized many large conferences and exhibitions like the “International Seminar on Modern Logistics Development” (1999), which services as a milestone event in the development of Chinese logistics and was undertaken in collaboration with the State Economic & Trade Commission and the World Bank. The others include the “China Logistics Senior Forum”, “China Foreign Trade Transport Situation Report Meeting”, “Seminar on the Effect of Joining WTO on Foreign Trade and Shipping” and “Seminar on Communications Development in Western China” etc. In 1999, it launched the “China Freight Award”, and since then has staged the event three more times in 2001, 2003 and 2005, winning extensive support and appreciation. In 2003 and 2005, it is also authorized to organize the China International Logistics Week, the largest logistics festival in China, and has covered in it such influential programs as “China Logistics Senior Forum”, “China International Transportation & Logistics Expos”, “China Corporate Logistics Supply & Demand Contact Meeting”, “China International Logistics Investment & Cooperation Contact Meeting” and “China Logistics Quality Tour” etc.

Reader Groups
Each single CSG issue reaches over 70,000 volumes, with readers mainly coming from shippers, shipowners and freight forwarders etc (see fig. 1). Concrete demographic distribution of readers is as follows: officials of import/export companies and freight forwarding firms as well as clerks of the business and storage & transport departments account for 62%; managerial, sales and operation personnel of shipping enterprises from both home and abroad for 25%; government officials, experts and scholars for 13%. Except for Tibet, CSG is now distributed to everywhere in China (see fig. 2); collects detailed information of about 200,000 corporations from related ministries and commissions every year, and transmits it into our database upon approval for periodical distribution to customers.
