The Company
In collaboration with its partners, ForestWave Navigation provides shipping management and commercial management of a new genre.

Shipping management
Shipping management means that we are responsible for all aspects of operating a vessel. Our duties include, among other things, monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the vessel, the technical management of the vessel, facility management, being responsible for a motivated crew of the vessel and troubleshooting.

Commercial management
Besides shipping management, together with our partners we are also responsible for the commercial management of vessels. This means that the organisation concludes cargo contracts and charter contracts with customers for the benefit of its own fleet and vessels of third parties.

The Entrepreneurs
ForestWave Navigation was founded in 2003 by Sam Gombra and Gerrit Diepeveen. The company developed two multipurpose vessels, which are currently used among others for serving the Scandinavian market. In 2006, Fred Diepeveen, Gerrit Diepeveen’s son, took over from his father. Both had been active within the shipping industry for many years prior to the formation of ForestWave Navigation. Using this experience, they work on structural improvement and innovation in the area of shipping management.

The mission of the all-round shipping company ForestWave Navigation is to be a progressive shipping business, which constantly provides its customers with top quality transport services through technological innovation and process innovation through which we optimize shareholder value.

Vision
ForestWave Navigation aims to grow into an all-round shipping company with a modern fleet, which is recognised within the global freight transport market as a supplier of reliable top quality. ForestWave Navigation will maintain its lead through early anticipation of developments within the environment and updated legislation. In short, we combine environmental savings with a sound return.
