Keppel Shipyard to build safety training complex

Keppel Shipyard is building a safety training complex next to the Keppel Offshore & Marine Group Training Centre at its Tuas Yard. When completed by the end of the year, the safety training complex will be the first such training center in Singapore, the company says. 


The training complex covers all aspects of safety training with special focus on height safety, confined space safety, electrical safety, and material handling safety. 

It will comprise three levels of classroom training, a fire fighting training simulator, a marine metal scaffolding training area, a riggers and signalmen training area, and a six-level mid-ship safety module built to simulate work environments.
