BG To Build 2 LNG Ships With CNOOC To Ship Gas To China
BG Group PLC plans to join forces with China's CNOOC Ltd. (CEO) to build a pair of ships to transport liquefied natural gas to China, a BG executive said Wednesday. "We will be joining a consortium to build two LNG ships," Mehmet Ogutcu told Dow Jones Newswires on the sidelines of an energy conference in Paris.
CNOOC is BG's partner in the consortium, he said, adding the major market will be China.
He didn't say if there will be any other partners in the consortium.
