Gdynia shipyard unveils car freighter
The third-to-last ship to be produced at the Gdynia shipyards on the Baltic Sea was unveiled today. The automobile freight ship has thirteen inner decks, is 200 metres long and is the height of a 10-story building. It has the capacity to transport 6,600 personal vehicles.
Two ships are left to be built at the Gdynia shipyard – another car freighter and a container freight ship.
Both ships are under construction in dry docks and are set to be completed before the end of May, according to European Commission requirements for the complete privatization of Poland’s shipyards. They are scheduled to be in the water on the 25 May.
