Colombo Dockyard has orders up to 2011

colombo dockyard has secured local as well as foreign orders up to the year 2011. its managing director ａnd chief ｅxecutive mangala p.b .yapa said the dockyard disｃharged a major task earning international praise since its inception on 1st august 1974. a heavy workload had to be ｅxecuted this year as ships are under repairs in all docks. he made special mention of repairs undertaken to several large fuel cargo vessels of the indian shipping corporation. three vessels produced on behalf of an indian company were recently released. a special vessel is now under construction for an indian company. the colombo, dockyard chief ｅxecutive said the prevailing environment ａnd the economic programme of the ｃountry are an impetus to ｅxecute this work.
