south korea's hyundai mipo wins us$177mln ship order deal
south korean shipyard the hyundai mipo dockyard co. said thursday it had clinched a 179 billion won (us$177 million) order from a european company to build two car carriers. the deal calls for delivery of the vessels by the end of 2012, hyundai mipo dockyard said in a filing to the korea exchange. the name of the european firm was not disclosed. shares of hyundai mipo finished at 190,500 won on the main board of the south korean bourse, up 1.87 per cent from wednesday.
