DPRK top leader urges development in shipbuilding industry
The machine-building industry should go all out to meet the need of building more ships, said Kim Jong Il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). More efficient engines needed for building fishing and cargo ships should be produced, said Kim when inspecting an engine-producing factory in the North Phyongan Province, reported the official Rodong Sinmun daily on Sunday. As a maritime country, the DPRK should develop the fishing industry and marine transport, said Kim.
