ABG Shipyard net up 39.6%

ABG Shipyard Ltd, the flagship company of ABG group, has posted a 39.6 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 46.05 crore for the quarter ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 32.98 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income of the company in the quarter has increased from Rs 195.97 crore in fourth quarter last year to Rs 278.65 crore posted in the quarter ended March 31, 2008. For the year ended March 2008, the company has posted a 38.1 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 160.68 crore as compared to Rs 116.29 crore posted last year (2006-2007).
