PRISCO shipbuilding line works in full force and effect
Steel cutting of the new PRISCO’s aframax has been made at HHI shipyard (South Korea). This is the third tanker of the new aframax series which has being building by HHI. In a few days there will be steel cutting of the forth tanker of above-mentioned series. All these tankers will be of 104 000 tons deadweight each and 1C ice class in compliance with DNV classification. Now PRISCO is building four tankers at different shipyards at one time. In Japan the new LNG carrier which is owned by Russian-Japanese consortium MOL-K-LINE-PRISCO will be introduced into operation. Block assembling of ship hull has been begun at STX shipyard (South Korea). There will be a new tanker of 51 000 tons deadweight. According to the shipbuilding plan building and assembly works at two PRISCO’s aframaxes are in progress at HHI. At the beginning of May PRISCO will begin to build one more aframax.
In January, 2008 PRISCO took delivery of tanker “Zaliv Amerika”. Moreover, in 2008 PRISCO will take delivery of three new tankers. During 2009 PRISCO will take delivery of nine new tankers and in 2010 the company will take delivery of two suezmaxes of 166 000 tons deadweight each.
