The new-built 28,000DWT heavy lift vessel MV DA DE has joined the fleet of COSCO SHIPPING at Shanghai Shipyard. At present, with six vessels of this type, COSCO SHIPPING’s scale and strength of the fleet are further improved. MV DA DE is the sister ship of MV DA XIN which was in service in July 2014, and its tandem lifting capacity reaches 700 tons , presenting the maximum lifting capacity in the heavy lift fleet of COSCO SHIPPING.. Mr. Li Jian Xiong, Deputy General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING, Mr. Xu Ping, Vice Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of Shanghai Shipyard, as well as the customer representatives of COSCO SHIPPING, have attended the christening ceremony.
Blending rationality into the design, this vessel is with LOA of 179.5m and breadth of 28m, bridge on forecastle, large hatchway, cranes and chimney at ship’s side, and continuous flat deck, etc. It is characterized in high lifting capacity, diversified loading capacity, high speed, environmental protection and good safety performances, which is suitable for carrying over-length, oversize and over-weight cargoes in the specialized shipping market.
