Taiwan’s state-owned CSBC Corp is negotiating a deal to build four 65,000 dwt semi-submersible crane vessels plus two options for Norway’s Falcon Group, reports said.
The total value of the deal plus options is worth more than $600m with each of the unit costing at least $100m, it was reported.
The potential deal suggested that construction for the four semi-submersible crane vessels will commence in the first quarter of 2016 and delivery is scheduled in the first quarter of 2017.
CSBC revealed that negotiations with Falcon Group are in the final stage and the deal is expected to be confirmed in the third quarter of this year.
