Sacked shipbuilders in Bulgaria’s Burgas meet with new management
Five representatives of the protesting laid-off employees met with the new executive director of the company, Deyan Marinov Dyankov. According to the sacked workers, the meeting was not satisfying.
The employees were informed that there was a procedure for declaring company’s insolvency. A new company has been established, called Barabel. The dismissed workers will be gradually asked to return to their jobs. It is expected for almost all 150 dismissed workers to be re-hired.
The new management has not undertaken engagement to pay off all due salaries of the workers, dated back to 2010. Some of the due payments for 2013, on the other hand, may become a fact.
