Jaya Secures Long Term Charter for its Multi-Purpose Service Vessel in Mexico

Leading offshore energy services provider, Jaya Holdings Limited, is pleased to
announce the long term charter of its first high-specification Multi-Purpose Maintenance
and Accommodation Vessel (MPMAV) “Jaya Privilege”.
This vessel is one in a range of sophisticated service vessels that Jaya is designing
and building for its target markets.
Jaya Privilege is expected to be delivered in June 2015 and construction is now
underway.
Jaya Privilege has more than 800 square metres of clear deck space, fire fighting
capability and dynamic positioning to DP-2 class. The vessel has accommodation for
up to 239 people on board including workout equipment and an internet café and an
electrohydraulic lattice boom crane with a lifting capacity of 50MT with man riding
capability. These features make the vessel versatile capable of delivering a wide range
of specialised services to the client.
Jaya Privilege will commence her charter on delivery and is expected to operate in
Mexico for a period of up to three years. She will be the first vessel of her kind in that
market and the third from Jaya in Latin America. Earlier in 2013, Jaya delivered a
smaller MPMAV named “Jaya Pride” into a term contract in South East Asia.
CEO of Jaya Holdings, Mr Venkatraman Sheshashayee said today: “Jaya is very
pleased that the market is recognising and appreciating the futuristic design and
immaculate detail that Jaya incorporates into our vessels. This is evident in the long
term charter contract secured two years prior to the vessel’s delivery.
Jaya is on track to achieve our long-term aspirations. This charter strengthens our
position in Latin America which is a new and exciting market for us. We are confident
that the demand for our vessels will continue to grow.”
Jaya also delivered its first high-specification, Deepwater Platform Supply Vessel
(PSV), “Jaya Valour”, last month (July 2013) which went on charter immediately after
delivery. 2
Jaya has an additional two large anchor handlers being delivered from its Singapore
yard in the next 12 months, and three specialised subsea and accommodation
workboats being delivered from its Batam yard.
The Group owns and operates more than 25 offshore vessels working across South
East Asia, the Middle East and West Africa on charter to oil and offshore services
companies.
