Chengxi Shipyard has announced it has signed a newbuilding contract to build two 64,000dwt bulk carriers with a domestic company. The bulker pair are based on the design of “Dolphin 64”, which is developed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute. The deal brings the current orderbook of Chengxi to 13 newbuildings.
