STX OSV bags orders to build three subsea vessels

STX OSV secured orders to design and build three offshore subsea construction vessels (OSCVs) on Thursday.
Solstad Offshore ordered one OSCV at a price of NOK600m ($108m) and Farstad Shipping booked a second unit at NOK800m, while DOF Subsea contracted a third vessel at an undisclosed price.
Solstad Offshore's order will be delivered in the second quarter of 2014. Farstad Shipping and DOF Subsea will receive their newbuildings in the first quarter of 2015.
