Russia's United Shipbuilding Wins $1-Bln Sovcomflot Order
Russia's United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSC) has won a $1-billion order from Russia's Sovcomflot shipping company for four seismographic ships, OSC's Roman Trotsenko said on Friday at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.
"This is a series of four ships we will build in pairs, the contract is worth over one billion dollars," he said.
He explained the high cost of the deal was because the ships were technologically advanced.
"For us, this is the largest contract signed at the forum," he said.
