NOV Signs Drillship Equipment Contract

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) has signed a $1.5bn contract to supply equipment to seven drillships at Brazilian shipyard Estaleiro Atlantico Sul (EAS).

As per the contract, NOV will provide supply packages, including drilling riser and pressure control equipment, to EAS.
National Oilwell Varco designs, manufactures equipment and components used in oil and gas drilling and production operations, the provision of oilfield services, and supply chain integration services to the upstream oil and gas industry.
NOV said that Brazil's major deepwater discoveries over the past few years have made it one of the most significant offshore markets it serves.
