Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering’s relatively new Chinese jv in Shandong province has won an order from Greece. Rethymnis & Kulukundis has opted for two 58,000 dwt bulkers for delivery next year
in February and April. The Greek owner is thought to be paying around $60m for the pair. Korean yards are expanding their footprint in China, from just block building to complete newbuilds.
