CSSC Expects Order Jump

China's CSSC Chengxi Shipyard said it won 32 newbuild orders this year and expects to secure five more before 2011. The shipyard delivered 12 vessels in 2009, second to Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding's 34 deliveries Chengxi Shipyard said a 22% jump in commodity-shipping rates over the past year will increase demand for newbuilds and it expects a similar number of orders next year, according to Bloomberg.
