South Korean shipbuilder STX Europe replaces CEO with senior executive
South Korean-controlled shipbuilder STX Europe said Tuesday it has replaced its chief executive and president with a senior executive from its parent company STX. Su-Jou Kim replaces Sang-Ho Shin with immediate effect and the latter is to return to South Korea to be the chief operating officer of STX Offshore and Shipbuilding.
South Korean conglomerate STX took control of the Norway based shipbuilder Aker Yards in 2008 and subsequently changed its name to STX Europe.
