Transitgas Says Start of Pipeline Gas Flows to Italy Is Delayed
Transitgas AG, operator of a natural-gas pipeline across Switzerland to Italy, said the planned start of the link is delayed until the end of August. “We didn’t get authority to start the pipeline,” Paulo Beretta, Transitgas technical director , said in a phone interview from Switzerland. “It will remain closed until the end of August.”
The pipeline shut July 23 after bad weather caused landslides and threatened the pipeline. It was due to start tomorrow.
