Bharati Shipyard earnings up 0.57% for Mar'10 qtr

Bharati Shipyard  disclosed a marginal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2010.  During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 0.57% to Rs 355.78 million from Rs 353.78 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose 22.83% to Rs 3,491.69 million, while total income for the quarter rose 14.68% to Rs 3,517.43 million, when compared with the prior year period.
It reported earnings of Rs 12.89 a share during the quarter, registering 0.47% growth over previous year period.
