Longxue grabs Kamsarmax order
CSSC Guangzhou Longxue Shipbuilding, an offshoot of state-owned China State Shipbuilding Corp, has signed a contract with Sutong Marine, a subsidiary of Kassian Maritime of Greece, to build an 82,000 dwt bulker carrier.
The shipbuilder did not disclose the value of the contract, although brokers estimated the deal was worth about $34m. The vessel is due for delivery in March 2013.
