RS keeps on cooperation with the leading shipbuilders

In order to strengthen the competitive capability of the Russian design organizations and shipyards RS keeps on cooperation with the United Shipbuilding Corporation in 2010 to the benefit of state and other customers. Completion of Russian the fleet and shelf development programmes depends on creation of new types of cargo vessels, industrial ships, high-tech offshore ice-resistant structures yet unrivalled. To provide Russian shipbuilders with new projects and new technologies the Russian federal programme “Development of Civil Shipping” was approved in March 2008.
To support Russian designers, shipbuilders and shipowners RS has developed a programme to provide high safety standards at sea and protection of environment. “It is now of vital importance to support the attempts of the international maritime community in development and implementation of new advanced standards of safety and environmental protection», - emphasized RS Director-General Nikolay Reshetov. “The RS scientific potential enables execution of research aimed at development and implementation of new standards which fulfill the stringent requirements of safety and environment protection”.
It is very important to note that the development of the new requirements takes into consideration the opinion of the industry. RS takes part in the consultations and discussions with the leading companies and R&D organizations on the development of new requirements. The latter one is the prerequisite for the development of the modern effiecient requirements.
