Gazprombank and USC sign a cooperation agreement
"Gazprombank"JSC and “United Shipbuilding Corporation JSC” (USC) have signed a cooperation agreement, the bank press office reports. Under the agreement, the bank will provide comprehensive financial and consulting services for Shipbuilding Corporation. Gazprombank will provide loans and financing for ongoing activities and investment projects. The bank consulting services include financial evaluation and expertise.
The shipbuilder sees the bank as a reliable financial partner in the implementation of high-efficiency projects in the field of civil and military shipbuilding and long-term development programs, the press office said. The parties agreed at least twice a year to consider the implementation of the agreement and determine the further cooperation format.
United Shipbuilding Corporation OJSC was founded in 2007. The corporation consists of three regional shipbuilding centers: Western Shipbuilding Center JSC (St. Petersburg), "The Northern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair" JSC (Severodvinsk), "Far Eastern center of shipbuilding and repair" JSC (Vladivostok), as well as leading planning and design offices, who designed nuclear and diesel submarines of different classes, ships and vessels, which had become a basis of naval strategic nuclear forces and conventional forces of Russia's Navy as well as of Navy in several countries. Net loss for USC on RAS in 2008 amounted to 37.014 million rubles. USC’s revenues in 2008 were reported at 40.169 million rubles.
