TAISUN betters its heavylift record

Yantai Raffles Shipyard reports it has beaten its previous record in completing the world’s heaviest  ever commercial lift. Its patented TAISUN crane successfully lifted the deckbox of Saipem’s ‘Frigstad D90’  Semi Submersible Drilling Rig, ‘Scarabeo 9’ (pictured) in front of over 400 international and  domestic guests. The rig is a state-of-the-art sixth generation Semi Submersible with a DP3 system which was built for Ultra  Deepwater Drilling.
