Six ships worth nearly US$200 million in total traded
The Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Industry Corporation has signed a contract to sell six ships worth nearly US$200 million in total, to the Trai Thien Shipping Development and Investment Joint Stock Company. These ships include two 56,200 tonne cargo ships, two 53,000 tonne cargo ships and two 700 TEU container ships.
The 56,200 tonne and 53,000 tonne ships, 190 metres in length, 32.2 metres in width, are being built and about to be launched.
The above-said two 700 TEU container ships, 133.6 metres in length, 19.4 metres in width, 9.45 metres in height, 8,150 tonnes in tonnage, are designed by the MPC Group from Germany.
The two ships have been successfully launched and will have been handed over to the Trai Thien company by early December this year.
