Guangzhou Shipyard Int'l Jan-Sep Net Plunged 41%

Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd. (GSI; SHSE: 600685) gained net profit of CNY 405.0914 million in the first three quarters of 2009, falling 41.01% year on year, citing the Chinese shipbuilder's financial report. Operating revenue inched up 5.02% to CNY 5.06 billion, and it witnessed basic earnings per share and return on equity of CNY 0.82 and 13.46%, respectively.
