Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Ranks 1st Globally by Order

Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has aggregately won orders for more than 120 ships by now, ranking the world's No. 1, and these order will not be fulfilled totally until 2012.
Since the shipbuilder came into being ten years ago, it has grown into the No. 1 ship export brand in China in terms of the market share. Last year, it built 4.6611 million deadweight tons (DWT), generating profit of CNY 3 billion. In the first half of 2009, it completed 3.0459 million DWT, becoming the first shipbuilder to exceed the 3-million-DWT milestone in the six-month production.
